KARACHI: The chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah lambasting on police performance, particularly in social worker Arshad Ranjhani murder case, and warned police should change their mindset and said if police failed to register FIR of Arshad Ranjhani murder he would himself register the case.
Murad Ali Shah also says, “Police force exhibited an irresponsible attitude and did not reach the scene in time, which resulted in the victim’s succumbing to his gunshot wounds before being shifted to hospital.”
He went on to say, “The handling of the incident has cast serious doubts on the professionalism and efficiency of the police force.”
During the questions and answers session, a verbal brawl ensued between GDA MPA Nusrat Sehr Abbasi and minister for energy Imtiaz Sheikh, however, the brawl got an ugly look when PPP MPA taunted on Sehr saying that Sindh government has given employment to her husband.
The female MPA got provoked and lambasted violently on treasury members, later opposition staged walks out.
MMA MPA Abdul Rashid condemning Ranjhani murder tabled attention notice while CM Sindh has also assailed the police performance.
Sindh Assembly session adjourned till February 27, Wednesday.
