ISLAMABAD: Federal Government has decided to appoint former Finance Minister Asad Umar as Chairman of Standing Committee on Finance.
According to sources, the decision was finalised during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s meeting with Asad Umar which was held at PM Office on Tuesday.
It may be pertinent to mention that Asad Umar had previously tendered his resignation as Finance Minister, not agreeing to exchange portfolio in the federal cabinet.
