Asia Cup: Afghanistan Should Not Be Taken Lightly: Miandad

Karachi (September 14, 2018): Former test captain of Pakistan, Javed Miandad said that National team should not take Afghanistan team as an easy target in Asia Cup.

Javed Miandad said while speaking to media during a recent event that better performance is expected from National cricket team in Asia Cup. Former captain further said that all teams participating in Asia Cup are good, however, it is true that the one who performs best has most pressure.

He further said that Afghanistan team should not be taken lightly in the tournament, they are moving forward and also don’t have any pressure of failure.Advising to selectors, Miandad said that team will require six bowlers to perform well in this format. If any team will have good bowlers, they are in winning position.

Regarding the absence of Virat Kohli in Asia Cup, Javed Miandad said that he is an important part of Indian team, presence of a good player is always beneficial for any team, but Indian team is good without Virat Kohli as well.
