Asia Cup: Hong Kong Set 117-Run Target For Pakistan

Dubai (September 16, 2018): Hong Kong set 117-run target for Pakistan in the opening Group A match of the Asia Cup-2018 in Dubai on Sunday.

Pakistani pacers Usman Shinwari (3/19), Hasan Ali (2/19) and Shadab Khan (2/31) bagged seven wickets between them as Pakistan restricted Hong Kong to 116 in their first match of the Asia Cup.

 Aizaz Khan (27) and Kitchit Shah  (26) top-scored for Hong Kong and build a fifty-run partnership. This is Hong Kong’s lowest total against Pakistan. Earlier, Hong Kong on Sunday after winning the toss against Pakistan choose to bat first in Asia Cup.

Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath opened the Hong Kong innings. For Pakistan  Mohammad Amir opened the bowling attack.

 In their bid to lift their third Asia Cup title, Pakistan expected to face stiff competition from the defending champions India, apart from four other Asian rivals – Sri  Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Bangladesh. The men in green will start their campaign against debutant Hong Kong on September 16 and will take on arch-rivals India on September 19.
