Asia Cup: India-Afghanistan Match Ends In Draw   

Dubai(September 26, 2018): India-Afghanistan contest in the Asia Cup Super Four stage at Dubai Stadium has ended in a draw on Tuesday night.

According to the details, Mohammad Shahzad’s 124 lifted Afghanistan to 252-8 in 50 overs while Indians were all out in 49.5 overs with the scores level.

Afghanistan pulled off a sensational tie off the penultimate ball against India in the Super Four stage match of the Asia Cup.

It is pertinent to mention here that India had already qualified for Friday’s final where they will meet the winner of Pakistan and Bangladesh match in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (Today).Earlier, after sensational innings by Mohammad Shahzad and Mohammad Nabi, Afghanistan had succeeded in putting 252 runs on the scoreboard against India on Tuesday at Dubai.

Shahzad became the highest scorer with 124 with 11 fours and seven mighty sixes while Nabi was the second-highest scorer with 64 runs including four sixes. Both the players added 188 runs for the team. Now, India will have to make 253 to win the match.Electing to bat first, Afghanistan got off to a steady start and added 65 runs in 13 overs for opening partnership. However, Afghanistan failed to continue the momentum and lost their four wickets in quick succession in the middle overs. Their two batsmen departed on ducks and two couldn’t cross double digit.India has made five changes against Afghanistan. Both the openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are not playing today. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal are also not playing.
