LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday issued notice to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over the bail plea submitted by the co-accused bail plea and summoned officials on March 4.
The hearing of the case was conducted on the bail plea of Shahid Shahfique, who is co-accused with Shahbaz Sharif in Asiana Iqbal scandal, as two-member divisional bench comprises of justice Malik Shehzad and justice Mirza Waqas.
The petitioner told the court that NAB has accused him of getting illegal contract by the help of joint venture of Bismillah Engineering and Sparco construction, however, before starting Asiana Iqbal scandal the contract of the Bismillah Engineering had been cancelled.
He also mentioned that the other accused of the scandal Shahbaz Sharif and Fawad Hassan Fawad on February 14, 2019, from LHC and Munir Zia had released on bail from Supreme Court.
“Despite the passage of two years the case is on initial stages,” he mentioned in his plea.
