ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has approved interim bail plea of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Zardari, ordering National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to submit a written order.
As per details, a two-judge bench comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Kahter Kiyani heard the plea.
Earlier, the court fixed May 08 (today) as the date for hearing former President Asif Ali Zardari’s plea seeking interim bail in Money Laundering case.
In his plea, Asif Ali Zardari claimed that he was being made target of political revenge.
The plea stated that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned former President on May 09 where chances of arrest are likely, therefore, it is pleaded to approve bail plea.
Subsequently, the court approved the plea after reviewing it.
It is to be noted that it is the fifth inquiry into which Asif Zardari has filed a bail plea.
