Karachi (June 23, 2017): An Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday allowed Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar to go aboard on an official trip against submission of surety of Rs2 million.

On Friday, Mayor Karachi submitted an application in the court seeking permission to go abroad.
He pleaded the court that he was to go to Russian on eight-day official trip so he should be allowed to proceed. He urged the court to release his passport for the purpose.
The court after hearing argument of his counsel allowed his plea. The Judge asked Akhtar to submit Rs2 million as surety bind.
The court also sent letter to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) regarding the court permission to Akhtar.
