Lahore (October 25, 2017): Family court on Wednesday requested Atiq-ur-Rehman to restrain Meera from getting married.
While hearing double nikkah case, Judge Bushra Khalid directed the counsels of both parties to come prepared on next hearing and forward their arguments on a application in the case that was filed by Atiq-ur-Rehman.
Meera had submitted that she had not married with Atiq-ur-Reham, who according to her had forged the marriage certificate to blackmail her.She said that the relevant union counsel had already termed Atiq-ur-Reham’s marriage certificate bogus and lending credence to her claim.
Court had reserved its verdict in the previous hearing which was to be announced today. The judge, however, deferred the announcement.
Meera prayed to the family court to declare the marriage is fake and restrain Atiq from calling himself as her husband.
