Karachi: The slain terrorist who along with his accomplice carried out a failed attack on Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Khwaja Izhar life, turned out to be a PhD and a professor of at an Engineering University.
The weapon he used for the attack was also used in attack on police personnel and traffic sergeant in the city.

Sources said that the forensic report of the spent bullet casings and the arms recovered from the attacker was received.
According to the report, the 9MM pistol used in the attack on Izhar was also used in recent attacks on policemen and traffic police sergeants.
On the other hand, FIR of the attack on Khwaja Izhar was registered on the complaint of SHO Taimuria Police Station Jamal Leghari at CTD Police Station.
The FIR was registered under sections related to murder, attempted murder and police encounter, besides inserting 7-ATA.
It is to be mentioned here that yesterday Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had ordered Sindh Home Minister to apprehend those behind the attack on Khwaja Izhar.
He had also directed the minister to provide proper security to all important personalities of Sindh.
