Attempt On Pro VC’s Life: AbbTakk Brings Criminal Record Of Attacker Into Limelight

MULTAN: AbbTakk News has brought criminal record of the attacker who injured Pro-Vice Chancellor of Nishtar Hospital Multan into the limelight.

On late Saturday night (February 09), Head of Cancer Disease Department and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Nishtar Medical University Dr Ahmad Ejaz Masood got injured in an attempt on his life after a man named Faisal Qureshi opened fire at him.

Courtesy to AbbTakk News, Faisal’s criminal record has surfaced upfront which shows that he has been involved in serious crimes in the past too.

According to the obtained information, two FIRs were previously filed against Faisal in 2015; one for attempted murder as per Section 324 and other for mauling as per Section 34.

It is to be noted that Faisal had shot Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Ahmad Ejaz Masood twice in his right leg due to which he was abruptly operated at Nishtar hospital’s emergency ward.

However, the offender fled from the spot after injuring Pro Vice-Chancellor.

Later, Faisal posted a video message on social media where alleged Dr Ejaz Masood for doing wrong medical treatment of his wife which led to her death.

“She was a TB patient whereas the VC treated my wife for cancer”, Faisal claimed.

He blamed Dr Ejaz for taking money from the family by calling them for treatment in a private hospital instead of government one.

Faisal added that when Pro VC sensed that the patient’s health was worsening, he shifted her back to the government hospital so that his own hospital does not get defamed.

During these altercations, my wife lost the battle with TB and died, Faisal said.

“When I protested, I was told by him [Pro VC Dr Ejaz Masood] to do whatever you can”, said the bereaved husband Faisal in his video message.

While admitting to injuring the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faisal said “I did not fire at him to take his life but to teach him a lesson. If I wanted to kill Dr Ejaz, I would have done so”.
