Azhar Ali Cross 5,000 Runs Milestone in Test Cricket Arena

Abu Dhabi (September 30,2017): Pakistan’s veteran middle order batsman Azhar Ali completed 5 thousand runs in test cricket during 3rd day play of two test matches against Sirlanka at Abhu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed stadium.He joined 5,000 test club in his 115 inning of 61st test match.

Right handed bats man hit the 5 kilo’s target when scored his 32nd run in 1st inning.Former ODI captain test career span over 115 inning of 61 matches so far, including 14 centuries and 25 half centuries.Azhar Ali’s scored best 302 runs against West Indies in Dubai last year. He is the first and the only bats man in day and night test match cricket who scored triple century.

By doing so, Azhar became only the eighth Pakistani cricketer to aggregate 5,000 runs in longest format of the game. Also, he is the fourth fastest to achieve this landmark from Pakistan. Azhar joins Younis Khan (M: 118 ; R: 10,099), Javed Miandad (M: 124 ; R: 8,832), Inzamam-ul-Haq (M:119 ; R: 8,829), Mohammad Yousuf (M90 ; R: 7,530) , Salim Malik (M: 103 ; 5,768), Misbah-ul-Haq (M: 75 ; R: 5,222), Zaheer Abbas (M: 78 ; R: 5.062).Ali made his Test debut against Australia at Lord’s in Pakistan’s neutral venue series in England in 2010 and has since been a consistent performer with the bat.
