ABUDHABI : Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali scored a brilliant hundred against West Indies in Abudhabi in the 3rd and final match of the three-match ODI series.
This is Azhar Ali’s third hundred and as a captain first one. Azhar Ali scored 75 plus runs for seven times as captain in 28 innings. Misbah has been the only Pakistani captain, who scored 75 plus runs as captain more than seven times.
Azhar scored his 100 in 107 balls, which include eight fours and one six. Azhar fell to Jason Holder at 101, when he tried to over mid-off but was completely deceived by the slower one that cut back in to beat his swing and hit the stumps.
With the brilliant hundred Azhar reponsed to his critics. He was under fire coming into the game, and his 100 came at a strike rate of over 100.
