TAUNTON: Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam’s played a match-winning knock on his debut for the Somerset Cricket County Club at the Vitality Blast 2019 at Cardiff.
Azam scored 35 off 23 balls including four boundaries in his first T20 Blast appearance as Somerset beat Glamorgan by eight wickets in the second match of the tournament.
The ICC T20 number one ranked batsman, considered the backbone of Pakistan’s batting line, has been one of the star attractions of the tournament, featuring the likes of AB de Villiers, also known as Mr 360, and Afghanistan’s top leggie Rashid Khan.
The Wurzels, an English country band decided to give Babar a warm welcome in their own way.
Other Pakistani cricketers participating in the tournament include Mohammad Amir (Essex), Faheem Ashraf (Northamptonshire) and Fakhar Zaman (Glamorgan) to name a few.
