Baber who lost Asia Cup, WC, now to lead team for T-20 world cup

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board has reversed its decision taken in the November Last year by removing Pakistan Cricket team captain Baber Azam from all the formats after losing back to back two tournaments Asia cup and World Cup.

The PCB has once again appointed Baber Azam as captain of Pakistan ODI and T-20 cricket teams.

Pakistan Cricket team Selection Committee (SC) has suggested the name of Baber Azam for the captain and it also prepared Baber to take the charge of ex-responsibility.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the PCB has announced Shaheen Shah Afridi as T-20 captain and Shan Masood as test skipper.

The SC has also convinced Shaheen Shah Afridi and took him into the confidence as he removed from the captain of T-20 team.

The committee members met with team players, Baber Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi at Kakool in onging training and fitness camp.

In the captaincy of Baber Azam Pakistan lost Asia Cup and World Cup 2023 after which he resigned from all three formats of the cricket.

Now after appointment from the PCB, he will lead the team against New Zea Land tour of Pakistan in April in which the Kivi’s will play a series of five T-20 matches.

Later Baber also captain of the team in three T-20 matches in Ireland and four short format matches in England.

Moreover, he will against lead the team mega cricket tournament of T-20 world cup in the USA and West Indies in the month of June.
