Balochistan Govt To Pay Daily Wagers Rs 2.40 Billion

Quetta: Baluchistan Government will pay the daily wagers labourers Rs 2.40 billion under the Benazir Income Support program.

Addressing a presser along with provincial minister Saleem Khan Khosa, provincial Finance Minister Zahoor Buledi said that as many as 138 people have been confirmed for the coronavirus in the province out of which 131 are pilgrims and remaining seven are locals.

Zahoor Buledi said that 6570 pilgrims reached from Iran while 4989 pilgrims of other provinces have been sent to their respective provinces.

The minister informed that as many as 2033 people are availing the isolation facility in the province while every district of the province has been provided Rs 10 million while more than Rs one billion issued to PDMA.

He said that as many as 0.8 million daily wagers labourers have been identified and the all will be provided Rs 2. 4 billion.

The Minister said that the province has not faced any crisis situation so far while the government will provide rations of worth Rs one billion to people living in their hoses.

He stressed the people of Balochistan that precaution is only a better solution of the global epidemic and urged them to adopt social distancing and observe cautions adding that the matters will not solve through government initiatives but the people of the province should take their responsibility.
