KARACHI: Ban lifted on pillion riding as Chehlum Imam Hussain (RA) processions concluded peacefully in Karachi.
Cellular phone services were also restored in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and other countries.
Sindh Home Department had imposed two-day ban on pillion riding in Karachi on the eve of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussian (RA). The Home department had said the ban was imposed on the recommendations of police to avoid any untoward incident in the city.
According to the details, the ban has been imposed in pursuance of section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the maintenance of law and order and security in the city on the sacred occasion.
