RIYADH: Saudi Security authorities have banned the entries of expatriates into the holy city of Makkah starting from June 28 till Hajj Finishes (August 11).
The ban has been imposed for the first time this year for those visiting the holy city via Haramain Train, Saudi media reported.
The move comes in accordance to the royal order banning expatriates from entering the holy city from Shawwal 25 every year except for those living in the holy city or are working there during the Hajj season.
The ban is imposed every year at the gateways to Makkah and applies to all modes of transport including cars, buses and trucks.
Further, those exempted from the ban must obtain travel permits from authorities.
