Bearish trend persist at PSX as 100 Index fell by 368 points by mid-day

KARACHI: The bearish trend, which dominated Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) yesterday, persist in the market on Wednesday as the market remained in the negative zone by mid day.

The benchmark KSE-100 index lost 368 points, or 0.74 per cent, by the mid day to fall to 49,399.91.

During the first session, some 75.8 million shares had changed hands by the mid day, with a total worth of nearly Rs5.4 billion.

Stocks of 366 companies had been traded, of which 117 gained in value, 235 declined and 14 remained unchanged.

In trading yesterday, the KSE-100 index had declined 197.72 points, or 0.40pc, to close at 49,767.91.
