Karachi (September 27, 2017): Sindh High Court on Tuesday announced its verdict in a 27 years old murder case and ordered Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the government to pay Rs 17.5 million to the deceased’s family.
According to the details, a suspect Muhammad Shakeel was tortured to death in CIA centre on April 25, 1990. His medical report proved that Shakeel was died of the brutal torture. The deceased family lodged a murder case against CIA.
Finally the bereaved family received justice from SHC after a span of 27 years. The court fined CIA Rs 0.5 million for killing the suspect and ordered to pay the fine with mark up of 27 years to the deceased family.
