Bhutto’s 39th Death Anniversary Being Observed Today

Larkana (April 03, 2018): The  39th death anniversary of founder of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Zulfikar Ali Bhutto being observed today on Wednesday as workers and leaders are being rushed to  Garhi Khuda Bux from across the country, where the mausoleum of Zulfizar Ali Bhutto located.

Party workers around the corner of the country reached here at his mausoleum to pay tribute to his beloved leader for his services for the country.

The home minister Sindh Anwar Siyal has presided over a high level meeting to review the security arrangements in DIG office Larkana while DIG Larkana and SSPs of different districts attended the meeting.

Talking to media, after the meeting, Sohail Anwar Siyal said that strict security arrangements will be made on the death anniversary of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto as 6900 police personnel will be deployed around the Gari Khuda Bux.  The camps have also been set up to provide workers with clean drinking water and roads leading to Garhi Khuda Baksh are being cleaned.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari are expected to hold a rally in Naudero along with senior party leaders at 2pm tomorrow.

The president of PPP women wing Faryal Talpur has already been arrived in Gari Khuda Bux.The opposition leader in Senate and PPP leader Serry Rehman has also reached in Larkana and visited the tomb of Zulfikar Ali and Benazir Bhutto.

Talking to media on the occasion he lamented on Nawaz Sharif and said he has made the institution hosted.

The PPP leadership will also hold a central executive committee meeting at Naudero House after the rally to discuss the current political and security situation of the country as well as the upcoming elections.

Public Holiday in Sindh

The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province on Wednesday, April 4, on account of the 39th death anniversary of Pakistan Peoples Party founder and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

According to a notification issued by the provincial government, all offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies as well as corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government will remain closed, except for essential services.
