LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has summoned a session of parliamentary party of Punjab in Lahore today (Sunday).
According to sources, the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto will chair the meeting, while PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has also reached Lahore attend the meeting.
The meeting will discuss the overall country’s situation.
Earlier in a day, the PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s request to meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore today (Saturday) was approved by the Punjab home department but rejected by the jails IG. He has said that the PPP chief can meet Nawaz on Monday.
The chairperson had sent a request to the Punjab home department seeking permission to visit Nawaz. The visit is to inquire about Nawaz’s health.
