ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday wrote a letter to Speaker National Assembly urging him to immediately issue production orders of MNAs Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar.
In a letter sent to the Speake, the Chairman PPP also said that separately he will write another letter on the “grave political and security dimensions of the issue” which he said he had refrained from raising in this letter which is only to seek issuance of production orders of the two MNAs.
“I don’t know whether NA speaker was informed about the arrest of two MNAs Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar but last time when NA session was held it was expected that speaker will issue the production orders of MNA Ali Wazir so that he could tell the NA about the incident,” reads a letter.
“Under Rule 103 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct in the National Assembly whenever a member is arrested on criminal charges the authorities concerned must immediately inform the Honorable Speaker, the custodian of the House. The purpose of writing this letter is to request you, Mr Speaker, to immediately issue production orders of MNA Ali Wazir provided under the Rules. In case if in the meantime MNA Mohsin Dawar has also been arrested, his production orders should also be issued,” it further added.
