ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday that federal cabinet meeting chaired by prime minister Imran Khan has decided not to the change name of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
“The name of BISP is not being changed,” he said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
Briefing media about the federal cabinet meeting, the Information Minister said the government has decided to launch a new programme titled “Ehsaas”. He also announced that govt will soon initiate ‘Sasta Ghar Scheme”.
Fawad further informed that federal cabinet has decided to ban broadcast of Indian Premier League (IPL) Matches in Pakistan.
Earlier in a day, Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain called on Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan during his visit to Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to regional security situation were discussed.
The Information minister lauded the matchless professionalism of PAF.
