Zaman’s Blistering 94, Lahore Sets 186 Runs Vs Quetta

Sharjah (March 14, 2018): Fakhar Zaman’s missed the century as Lahore Qalandar sets the target of 187 against Quetta Gladiators in the 26th fixture of the third edition of Pakistan Super League here on Wednesday.

Lahore Qalandars’ opener smashed quick-fire 94 runs in just 50 balls that led his team to put a healthy total on board.

Fakhar Zaman and Anton Devcich opened the innings for the Qalandars, while Anwar Ali and Shane Watson shared the new ball for the Gladiators.



This was the second highest total of the tournament, after 188-3 scored by Karachi Kings against Multan Sultans at Dubai on March 10.

After being sent into bat, Fakhar provided a solid start of 43 along with Anton Devcich (18) before losing three quick wickets within 30 runs as Agha Salman and captain Brandon McCullum fell cheaply.Then, Fakhar was joined by Gulraiz Sadaf and both added breezy 68 runs from just 30 balls for the fourth wicket stand.

Fakhar smashed six towering sixes and nine fours before falling just six runs short of the first individual hundred of the tournament. However, this was the biggest innings by any batsman in the PSL-3.

Later, Gulraiz (43) and Sunil Narine (20) added 45 runs for the unbeaten fifth wicket partnership.
