Mengal Presents Demands To PTI For Inclusion In Government

Islamabad (August  02, 2018): Pakistan Tehreek Insaf’s delegation on Thursday met Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal at Balochistan House in the federal capital.

PTI leaders Naeemul Haque and Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind are part of the delegation meeting Mengal to seek support to form the government in the centre.

Akhtar Mengal presented demands to the PTI delegation for the inclusion in the PTI-Led federal government.

Sources said the PTI has also invited Mengal for a one-on-one meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan.Talking to the newsmen after the meeting, said PTI has invited them to join the government in Centre.

He said that PTI has assured solution of the Balochistan’s problems, we are ready to join PTI in centre, added Akhtar Mengal.

On the occasion, PTI’s Naeemul Haq said that problems presented by Akhtar Mengal are not new, Imran Khan will be the first leader, who will address them.

Yesterday, a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party met Balochistan National Party-Mengal Chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Baloch to convince him for the joining alliance of opposition.

Earlier on July 31, Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) Chief Akhtar Jan Mengal questioned the transparency of the July 25 polls and said the public’s mandate and election results differ in the province.

Addressing a press conference in Quetta, Mengal likened the July 25 polls to the general elections of 1970 and demanded a commission to investigate the polls.

“The election results were delayed for 72 hours – it has never happened before despite previous election commissions lacking resources. Such delaying tactics creates doubts over the transparency of the electoral process,” he said. “Our mandate was stolen from at least 12 constituencies.Mengal Claims BNP Mandate Theft in 2013 PollsThe ECP has failed in its duty to guide the voters.”

The former Balochistan chief minister claimed that the results were a deliberate effort to prevent BNP from forming a government in the province.

Earlier on July 30, the senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Jahangir Tareen contacted Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Akhter Mengal and discussed the formation of government in centre and province as well.

Tareen Calls BNP Head Mengal to Seek SupportAccording to sources Tareen contacted Mengal through telephone and discussed the formation of government particularly in Balochistan.

Sources informed that Megal will fly to Islamabad to talk with the PTI high ups and then a meeting with BNP senior leaders will be held to given final shape to talks.
