Bodies of 11 Pakistanis Drowned in Libya Handed to Families

Islamabad (February 14, 2018): The bodies of the eleven Pakistanis, who died in a tragic boat accident in Libya, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday evening and handed over to their families.

Pakistan government had made special arrangements for bringing the bodies back to the country.

Talking to media after handing over dead bodies to respective families, director Libyan crisis cell Shozeb Abbas told that the incident took place on January 31 and 13 Pakistani were drowned. He said that 11 of them have been handed over to their families today.Earlier dead bodies brought back to Benazir International Airport through flight number SV 722. Two officials of the foreign office were deputed at the airport to guide the families of the victims.According to FO spokesman Dr Faisal, the bodies of Ikramul Haq, Qasim Baig, Kashif Jail, Tanzel ur Rehman, Azmat Bibi, Waleed Akram, Mirza Ghulam Fareed, Muhammad Aziz, Luqman Ali, Mazhar Hussain and Farhan Ali have been brought back to the country.
