NEW DELHI: Panic prevailed in the state capital of Lucknow after Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who attended at least three parties here in which several VIPs, including a Lok Sabha MP, a former chief minister, a UP minister along with 100 others were present.

According to the sources, Kanika, who had returned from London a few days back, arrived here on March 15 and went straight to her residence here at a multi-storied apartment building in Mahanagar area.
She gave a program at a party hosted by former Congress leader Akbar Ahmed Dumpy at the latter’s residence. Sources said that BJP MP Dushyant Singh, former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia, UP health minister Jai Pratap and several bureaucrats.
Kanika also visited a skin clinic and a hotel here, where also she held programs. Over one hundred persons were said to have attended the programs.
It was alleged that Kanika managed to slip away from the Lucknow airport without being checked, she denied the charge.
