Islamabad (August 22, 2018): British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew has expressed his best wishes for Muslims in Pakistan, the United Kingdom and around the world on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

In a video message posted on Twitter, in which he is speaking in Urdu, the British High Commissioner said he is pleased to see a large number of Pakistanis thronging to cattle markets to buy animals for sacrifice.

“Assalam Alaikum, many of my Muslim friends will celebrate Eidul Azha in coming days. I really enjoyed visiting Islamabad cattle market and witnessing people purchasing their sacrificial animals. Similarly, in Britain, Pakistan and elsewhere Muslims are celebrating festivities of Eidul Azha. From me and my team Eid Mubarak to all of you,” said the British diplomat. Elsewhere the nation will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha today with great religious zeal and fervour commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the well-being of the Ummah and progress, prosperity and security of the country.
