ISLAMABAD: United State chargé d’affaires in Islamabad Jonathan Pratt and British member of Parliament Khalid Mehmood called on Finance Minister Ishaq Dar separately.
Ishaq Dar appreciated the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and the United States.
He expressed confidence that Pakistan-US ties will strengthen even further under the new US administration. The Ambassador said that Pakistan is an important ally of the US.
Matters of bilateral interest including trade and economic relations between the two countries came also under the discussion.
Meanwhile, during his meeting with Khalid Mehmood, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan valued its long standing ties with the UK and wants to strengthen bilateral relations further.
During the meeting, they discussed possibilities of expansion in bilateral trade and investment between Pakistan and UK.
