British Parliament To Hold Referendum Over Brexit ‘Plan B’ Today

LONDON: The British Parliamentarians will on Tuesday (today) hold a referendum and debate over the British Prime Minister Theresa May’s proposed alternative Brexit deal, ‘Brexit Plan B’.

According to the British media, the polling held among the lawmakers of Britain will mull over the proposed plan, in which, if agreed upon, Britain will separate from the European Union (EU).

The officials of EU, however, claim that upon Britain may have to suffer all sorts of losses upon their possible exclusion from the union.

Moreover, Northern Ireland opts against the Brexit deal as it had previously issued a threat to get separated from London if Brexit takes place.

Due to refusal to be on the same page from Northern Ireland, Theresa May is under pressure to come up with an alternative Brexit deal that will win support from MPs across the political spectrum.

This poll is a chance to discover what sort of changes to Theresa May’s strategy would be required to win the support of parliament, so May can try to renegotiate the deal in Brussels and then ask lawmakers to approve it.

Meanwhile, the Premier herself wishes to postpone the debate session on the affair as she got the Cabinet’s nod in the referendum held on November 15, 2018.

However, in a rather unpredictable turnout, her own companions raised some objections over the bill as she faced a non-confidence movement from them. Moreover, the labour party also polled against the bill in the parliament.
