ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is all set to produce former president Asif Ali Zardari in bulletproof vehicle case before Islamabad High Court (IHC) today, AbbTakk News reported on Wednesday.
On this occasion, stringent and top-notch security measures will be taken to avert any mishap.
IHC on Monday had summoned the under-arrest politician in payment of bulletproof cars from pantry case, a case pertaining to fake bank accounts reference.
A two-judge bench of the IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kyani heard on the interim bail plea filed by Asif Zardari.
Former president’s counsel Farooq Hamid Naek and Lateef Khosa appeared before the High Court.
When asked by the court over the status of another plea if the previous one was rejected, Farooq Naek responded that it was necessary for an applicant to be in attendance at the court.
The court demanded Asif Zardari to be presented before the court, stating that he regularly attending session taking place at the Parliament House.
After hearing arguments of defendant’s lawyers, the court then issued production orders of Zardari and ordered NAB to produce Asif Zardari before the court in the next case hearing of June 26.
