ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (Retd.) Javed Iqbal on Monday gave approval for converting the ongoing inquiry into bulletproof vehicles case into an appropriate investigation.
The turning of the case into investigation has raised chances of the arrest of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who is one of the prime nominated individuals in this affair.
The approval on the issue came during Anti-graft body’s executive board meeting chaired by the chairman himself.
Other NAB officials including Deputy Chairman Hussain Asghar were in attendance at the meeting.
It is to be noted that officials of foreign ministry and establishment, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Fawad Hussain Fawad and Shahid Khaqan had recorded their statements in this case.
