By-election on PB-47 Kech District Ends, Counting Starts

Quetta (December 06, 2018): Polling for by-election on a seat PB-47 Kech-III in district Kech has ended and counting is started.

Earlier the polling started in a peaceful atmosphere at 8 am.

Hundreds of Police, FC and Levies personnel have been deployed at the constituency to cope with any type of untoward incident during the by-polls.

there are a total 56,772 registered voters in the area and 60 polling stations have been set up, with 162 polling booths.

All the polling stations in the constituency have been declared very sensitive.The candidates for the election are BAP’s Rasheed Rind, Balochistan National Party-Mengal’s Major Jameel Dashti and National Party’s Fida Dashti.

The seat had fallen vacant after the ECP declared the result of July 25 election null and void after opponents challenged the election of winner Mir Rauf Rind of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), who is a dual national.
