MULTAN: A female government servant who was serving as a polling agent during by-polls on Sunday has been barred from the station by the authorities.
As per details, a female lady health worker named Shehnaz Bibi was barred from the polling station when another agent of the opposing party complained the presiding officer that she is a government servant and cannot serve as a polling agent.
The immediate action was taken by the presiding officer and the female lady health worker was barred from the station. However, the deputy commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik has also taken notice of the matter.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has accused the ruling party’s workers of attacking the polling station number 118 and also blamed the police for supporting them. The reports reaching here revealed that both factions of the two parties have been dispersed by the police.
