By Polls: PPP, PML-N To Field Joint Candidates

Islamabad (October 04, 2018): The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party have agreed to field a joint candidate in the forthcoming by-election.

PPP’s Khurshid Shah met with Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif, later Sharif in a delegation visited Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The MMA leader, after the meeting, said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s governance has vindicated the fact that its in the government due to a hidden support.The PML-N delegation met with the PPP leaders at the Parliament lodges.

PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the PML-N will support the party in the forthcoming by-election in Karachi and Rahim Yar Khan while the PML-N will be supported in elections in Punjab.

PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah said that both the parties have agreed to support each other in the by-elections. Earlier on October 03, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JIU-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was once again given the task to unite the divided opposition.

Fazl met Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday.

Shehbaz while talking to reporters said he has asked the JUI-F chief to convene a session of the joint opposition, adding that chief of the Public Accounts Committee should be from the opposition.

Fazl on the occasion said: “It is without a doubt that the opposition is confronting a fake government. Prices have skyrocketed in a months’ time.”Opposition leader in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq contacted PPP secretary general Nayyar Bukhari and discussed the likely joint efforts to get success in the by-election.

Raja Zafarul Haq commenting on his contract with PPP leader said that talks being made with PPP and final strategy regarding by-poll will be announced in a couple of days.Nayyar Bukhari said that efforts being made to bring the joint candidates in the by-election.
