Dubai:Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has left for home after attending the 28th Conference of Parties of the United Nations in Dubai.
At the Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, the Prime Minister was seen off by the UAE Minister of State for Government Development and the Future Ohood Bint Khalfan Al Roumi, the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan and Pakistani diplomatic staff.
The Prime Minister led the Pakistani delegation to the 28th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations. The Prime Minister also attended the World Climate Action Summit and presented Pakistan’s national narrative on climate change. The Prime Minister presented Pakistan’s position in the Global Stocktake Round Table Discussion.
On the sidelines of COP28, the Prime Minister met the Presidents of Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the Prime Ministers of the Netherlands, Estonia, Syria and Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Bill Gates.
The Prime Minister also visited COP28 Pakistan Pavilion, attended a function regarding the Living Indus Initiative and met Pakistani female students who won the Zayed Sustainability Prize.
The Prime Minister will arrive in Gwadar from Dubai where he will inaugurate the China-Pakistan Friendship Hospital and a sea water desalination plant.
