DAMASCUS: Syrian, Russian forces and insurgents’ finally reached to a truce through which insurgents evacuated the Aleppo city.
Rebels and government forces agreed on the truce after a fierce fight. The purpose of the ceasefire is to give a safe passage to civilians and rebels to leave the city.
Russian ambassador to United Nations (UN) Bitaly Churkin said that military action had ended in eastern Aleppo and Syrian government troops had re-established control over the Aleppo. He said an arrangement had been made for fighters and civilians to leave the city.
International community expressed concerns over deteriorated law and order situation in Aleppo city. United Nations said that pro-government forces were killing civilians, women and children at their homes in the war-torn city.
