Karachi: The censor board in Pakistan has banned the actor-cum-producer Shamoon Abbasi’s upcoming film ‘Durj’.
Shamoon Abbasi had recently revealed the release date of his film on social media. He took to Facebook to disclose that his film will be released worldwide on October 11 and in Pakistan on October 18.
The film is based on true events and highlights the issue of cannibalism in Pakistan. The reason behind the ban has not been disclosed yet.
Inspired by true incidents, the film stars Shamoon Abbasi, Sherry Shah, Maira Khan and Nouman Javaid among others.
Three Pakistani films, Durj, Daal Chawal and Kaaf Kangana were scheduled to release in October 2019.
