Islamabad(February 14, 2018): Drug Regulation Authority has released an SRO to lift the ban on importation of medicines from other countries.
According to the details, DRAP stated in the released SRO that now any hospital can import medicines for cardiac, anticancer and other life-saving drugs.
Chief drugs lawyers forum Noor Muhammad Mehar claimed that present CEO DRAP has released SRO to increase his own out of country business.
He claimed that CEO DRAP owns medicine companies in India, China, and Turkey and it will cause 2 billion loss to the local industries.
Present CEO DRAP is already facing cases against him in NAB and FIA.
He appealed chief justice and chairmen NAB to stop this act to save Pakistan from this loss.
Earlier on January 22, 2013, a ban was put on the importation of medicines from other countries, the purpose of this ban was to save Pakistan from this loss.
