SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah has said that demanding someone’s resignation by holding a bottle filled with patrol is not a good tradition.
He was referring to PML-F lady lawmaker Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, who had demanded PPP’s Sindh Minister for Works and Services Imdad Pitafi threatening to douse petrol on herself if action was not taken against Pitafi for passing indecent remarks against her during Sindh Assembly session. Though she later forgave him.
Shah said if such traditions are set then it is feared tomorrow Imran will keep patrol bottle with him for demanding resoignation from Nawaz Sharif.
Shah said that Pitafi set a good example by tendering unconditional apology to Ms Abbasi.
To a question regarding National Action Plan, Shah declared Chaudhry Nisar biggest hurdle in implementation of NAP. He added that if PPP’s government did any corruption during its tenure then action must be taken.
