Islamabad (August 5, 2017): Former Interior Minister Chaudhy Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday called on former Prime Minister and PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif.
The meeting held at Punjab House, where the former prime ministers is huddled with close and senior party aides to work out strategy regarding his Sunday’s trip to Lahore, PML-N’s power bastion, for the first time following his disqualification by the Supreme Court.
The former interior minister, who has of late developed serious difference with party leadership, discussed Nawaz Sharif’s Sunday visit to Lahore.
Nisar, who refused to join PM Abbasi-led cabinet due to reasons he says will divulge soon, consulted his party chief over NA-120 Lahore by-elections.
Meanwhile, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai called on Nawaz Sharif at Punjab House.
Both the leaders discussed overall political situation of the country especially in the backdrop of recent Supreme Court verdict disqualifying Nawaz Sharif.
The PKMAP Chief, whose party is a coalition partner of the PML-N in centre and in Balochistan, also discussed other national issues with the former prime minister.
