ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday vehemently denied the facts stated in a column published with a title ‘meeting with chairman NAB” in a national daily while it also said that facts were distorted in the column and conclusion reached by the columnist for some personalities and cases were not right.
The graft-buster body spokesman said that Chairman NAB talking with the columnist regarding cases of the personalities had said that every a reference after preparation without any discrimination has been sent to the court of justice.
The spokesman said that the columnist also has touched upon Shahbaz Sharif retirement from politics and his offer to return money while the spokesman said that Chairman NAB in the conversation with the columnist had said that Shahbaz Sharif demanded clean chit for him while some other country will provide money from his behalf, however, the chairman refused to give any NRO to him.
According to the columnist, two personalities were talked of offering Rs five billion and they threatened the chairman over his refusal to bomb him in a blast while the chairman is stick to his anti-corruption stand.
The spokesman said that there is no question of missing of record from the NAB possession as the NAB has imposed banned to carry evidence from the NAB to outside.
