Islamabad (October 28, 2018): Chairman National Accountability Justice Retired Javed Iqbal said that operations against corrupt elements are increased significantly from October 2017 to September 2018.
Chairmen NAB said, NAB during last one year on the Bureau has received 44,315 complaints and arrested 503 accused persons.

Chairman NAB said, The Bureau also authorized 1713 complaint verifications, 877 inquiries and 227 investigations, and recovered Rs. 2580 million from corrupt elements during the period and deposited the amount in national exchequer. he said.
Chairman NAB said, The recovery made possible return of amount also to hundreds of affectees and some government departments as NAB has filed 440 corruption references in various Accountability Courts as per law.
Chairman NAB said, Pakistan has been pushed from 175th to 116th number on transparency index for which National Accountability Bureau’s efforts cannot be discounted. he said.
Chairman NAB said, Being apex anti-corruption organization, today NAB is a role model institution among SAARC countries and its performance has appreciated by all reputed national and international organizations like PILDAT, Mishal Pakistan, Transparency International and World Economic Forum.
The Chairman during last one year has rejuvenated NAB which has become a vibrant organization for making corruption free Pakistan with help of all stakeholders.
