Chairman NAB Vows Zero Tolerance Policy to Eradicate Corruption

Islamabad (November 22, 2017): The chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) justice retired Javed Iqbal pledged NAB was following the zero-tolerance policy to root out corruption from the country.

In a statement anti-graft watchdog chairman said that the rule filing of reference within 10 days after receiving complaint will be implemented strictly.

“I am  closely reviewing the references filed in courts as tried to investigate white collar crimes on scientific basis,” he said.

On November 20, the chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice retired Javed Iqbal has directed all the officials to take impartial action against corrupt elements without conceiving any kind of pressure.

Chairman NAB made these instruction in a anti-graft’s watchdog high level meeting held in Lahore. The meeting was briefed regarding the cases of Sharif family , Chaudhary brothers and other mega corruption cases.

Director General NAB Lahore Saleem Shahzad presented the report regarding cases pending for years.

Addressing to the participants of the meeting, Chairman NAB directed officials to accelerate the action on all pending cases and bring them to their logical end as soon as possible.
