Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar with a delegation on Wednesday wherein they agreed on important affairs for promotion of cricket in the province.
The duo also agreed on joint efforts to be taken to increase numbers of grounds in the province for promotion of cricket at lower levels.
At the occasion, the CM Punjab said that the Punjab government is constructing play grounds in villages of the province adding that as many as 500 play grounds will be constructed at the village level.
The CM apprised further that facility of other sports will be provided in these grounds adding that two new high performance centers for cricket are being constructed in the province, for the purpose the CM has directed the provincial sports minister to form committee. The committee joining with the PCB will finalize recommendations for promotion of sports in school and colleges and increasing numbers of grounds..
Provincial Minister for Sports Raye Taimour Khan Bhathi, Chief Secretary , Chairman Planning and development, Principal secrtary CM, secretaries sports, local government, DG sports and ohter respective were in attendance.
