Chairman Senate, Other Key Leaders Express Grief Over Ali Mahar’s Demise

ISLAMABAD: Several key political leaders on Tuesday expressed their grievances on the sad demise of Federal Minister of Anti-Narcotics Ali Muhammad Mahar.

As per details, Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani in a statement said that Ali Muhammad Mahar’s services for democracy will be remembered forever and he will be missed on the floor of the house.

Speaker National Assembly Muhammad Asad Qaiser also expressed his grievances in a statement over the demise of Ali Muhammad Mahar and prayed for the departed soul of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood also expressed his grievances with the bereaved family of the deceased parliamentarian.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari also prayed for the departed soul of the PTI leader and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of Ali Muhammad Mahar.

Earlier today, PTI leader and Federal Minister of Anti-Narcotics Ali Muhammad Mahar died of Liver disease.

According to family sources, Ali Muhammad Mahar died late on Monday night after his health deteriorated due to long-standing liver disease.

On the other hands, all the markets have been closed down in Ghotki and people have started reaching Mahar house in Ghotki to offer condolences with the bereaved family.

Ali Muhammad Mahar remained the Chief Minister of Sindh in the regime of General Parvez Musharraf for two years from 2002 to 2004.

Mahar joined PTI in 2018 following success as an independent candidate in the elections.
