Chairman senate Mian Raza Rabbani has rejected an adjournment motion over children deaths in Thar area of Sindh.
The Chairman senate who is also a political leader of Pakistan People Party (PPP), he rejected the motion with argument that the matter of children death in Thar is provincial issue.
Raza Rabbani further said that a children death in Thar is a serious issue but it is of provincial nature so it cannot be discussed in the senate.
On the other side Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senator Mian Atiq said that the children deaths cannot be declared provincial issue and children deaths due to lack food is so lamentable.
The adjournment motion was presented by the MQM today in the senate session. It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 1300 children died in Thar due to lack of food.
