Chairman Senate, Zardari, Bilawal, Punjab CM Share Special Messages On Women’s Day

ISLAMABAD: Former President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday said that a society can never progress without equal participation from women.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari said, “A civilized society can be flourished if it is free from any sort of discrimination against the women, the PPP always respected women as its a part of our manifesto, our party will always follow the footsteps of its martyred leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The initiative of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has helped the underprivileged women.”

Bilawal Bhutto in a message said, “The future belongs to women. The old fashioned traditions to suppress the women are now dying, women are progressing in every sector which is a good sign for this century.”

“Pakistani women have faced several challenges and lived up to our expectations, they are courageous and coming forward in every walk of life,” he added.

“PPP has done a remarkable job for empowering women, and to counter the violence against them,” he concluded.

The Punjab CM Usman Buzdar in a message said, “Islam has given historical rights to women which no other civilization has done anything for women like Islam did.”

“Women are 50 per cent of the total population of Pakistan, we will take every possible measurer for their welfare,” he added.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani in his message said, “I salute the role of women in progress of the country, they have proved their critics wrong.”

“At this occasion, we undertake a promise to make a country full of equal opportunities for the women,” he concluded.
