Imran Hiding Disappointment By Criticizing PPP: Chandio

Hyderabad (September 20, 2017): Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Maula Bux Chandio on Wednesday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan for “hurling abuses and personal attacks” on PPP leaders during the PTI chief’s address in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference here, Chandio said that Imran is trying to hide his disappointment by criticising PPP leaders Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

“We don’t insult people, don’t hurl personal attacks. Shameful that Imran would do this despite being a party chief,” he said.

The PPP leader said that Imran can boast of no feat other than Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, saying the entire country can’t be run with one hospital.

“Everywhere he goes he talks about his only one feat,” Chandio said.Responding to Imran’s accusations of corruption against party supremo Zardari, Chandio said that Imran himself has been proven a thief in trying to get everyone proved one.

“Why doesn’t Imran submit his asset details in court,” the PPP leader asked, referring to the PTI funding case in the Supreme Court.

Imran Khan on Tuesday in Hyderabad Jalsa said that corrupt leaders like Zardari and and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif wouldn’t have been exonerated if the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was powerful.

“After Nawaz, we are coming after Zardari next,” Imran said, adding that he “must be sent to jail for corruption.”

Accusing former prime minister Sharif and Zardari of being partners in corruption, he said that both leaders shook hands on the pretext of “charter of democracy.”

Taking a jibe at PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PTI chief said that Bilawal has done nothing to deserve the position he holds.
He reiterated the same while speaking to media in Karachi on Wednesday, saying Nawaz and Zardari are responsible for the country’s abysmal situation.

“The [2006] Charter of Democracy was an underhand deal between them. The entire country is in debt but they have become billionaires,” he said, adding, “Look at the children of Ishaq Dar, Nawaz Sharif and Zardari – they are all billionaires.”
